Quite as the Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy distinguishes itself fundamentally from the western calligraphy or painting, given the carnal role of the breath in the process of creation; it is not allowed to add or to correct, what gives a specific unambiguous temporal dimension to the plan. Besides, the not phonetic nature of the Chinese character pulls an almost infinite graphic directory (more than 40 000 characters were listed) who explains largely the equivalence between writing and art in China.
